When the API and the interface are built by different people, a lot of time goes into the gap between them — mismatched field names, missing endpoints, bugs nobody owns. Hiring one full-stack developer removes that gap.
I build the Laravel backend and the React (or Next.js) front end together, so the contract between them is designed once and changes in one place. I work from Sector 58, Noida, with clients across India and abroad.
When one full-stack developer is the right hire
- MVPs and first versions of SaaS products, where speed and one accountable person matter most.
- Internal tools and dashboards on top of an existing database.
- Customer portals where the screens and the data rules change together.
- Replacing an old jQuery front end on a working Laravel or PHP backend.
It is the wrong hire when you already have separate frontend and backend teams with their own design system, or when the product needs several people working in parallel from day one.
How I structure a Laravel + React project
- API contract first — endpoints and response shapes agreed before screens are built.
- Authentication with Laravel Sanctum for the single-page app or mobile client.
- Data fetching with React Query or SWR, so loading, caching and errors behave the same on every screen.
- Shared validation messages — the API returns errors the form can show directly.
- One staging URL where you test the API and the interface together every week.
Typical projects
| Project | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Admin dashboard on an existing database | A Laravel API over your current data and a React dashboard with roles and reports. |
| Customer portal | Logins, orders, documents and notifications for your clients. |
| SaaS MVP | Accounts, billing, core features and an admin panel — see Laravel SaaS development. |
| Front-end replacement | A new React interface on top of an existing backend, released screen by screen. |
Working arrangement
Projects run as fixed-price milestones or a monthly retainer. The repository lives in your account from the start, and each milestone ends with a working build on staging.
